Jim Jeffcoat was a solid defensive end for the Dallas Cowboys in the late '80s and early '90s.His 1989 was the team's worst season, but Jeffcoat's best. He started 16 games at defensive end with 11.5 sacks, 100 tackles, 3 fumble recoveries and 1 touchdown.
His son, Jackson Jeffcoat, took the spotlight on Friday committing to playing football at the University of Texas. Jeffcoat was the #1 defense end prospect in Texas. He chose Texas over Oklahoma where his twin sister is going to play basketball.
He also skipped the University of Houston where his dad is the d-line coach. That was a surprise.
