Expect a Giant Increase in Inscription Charges

If you're looking for NY football Giants autographs, you can expect to pay a little more.

After their Super Bowl 42 upset victory, NY Giants autographs are in greater demand and you can expect to see more of them on the autograph circuit. The Triumph Football (un)Spectacular show in NJ has quite a few Giants lined up... inlcuding Eli Manning.

Expect inscription charges to go higher considering most will want, "SB XLII Champs" or "SB XLII MVP" in Eli Manning's case. A quick look at the Triumph site has Eli's inscription charge of $75. That's much higher than before but I was surprised it wasn't higher. Brother Peyton's autograph inscription charge a year ago was double that amount at a Mounted Memories show last March.

So do athletes only inscript at shows or can you walk up to them at Spring Training and try to get them to inscript? I want Magglio to sign a bat for me but I would also like "2007 Batting Champ". What do you think the odds of that happening are?

That's a great idea and inscription for Mags. Unfortunately, you may have a tough time getting him to write that at a spring training event.

There's typically a ton of people around the star players and IF they are signing, they are trying to get as many done as possible to please as many people as possible.

If you can catch him by himself (easier said that done), then you'd have a better chance. I've read people have found the athletes leaving restaurants or entering/leaving the spring training facilities.

In your area, check out the shows at the Gibraltor Trade Center. Their prices are reasonable for most players. I know he was up there last year.
